5 Do's and Don'ts to Stay Productive During the Holidays

Happy Holidays everyone, I hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving, I know I sure did.

These are the do's and don't of Thanksgiving.

The 5 Things You Shouldn't Do On The Holidays

1. Don't Drink too much. Don't be drinking and getting real drunk. You will regret it. It will make you sick, lower your immune system and give you a week or at least a few days of feeling bad.

2. Don't eat too much. As Anthony Robbins calls it, "Eating a Big Butt Meal". This is similar to drinking. Your body will use more energy try to digest the food, leaving your immune system in shock and un able to defend itself.

3. Don't do anything stupid. You might be a little drunk, but you are still in control. Don't do anything stupid, like jumping off staircases... you can hurt your back or cut your hand doing this.

4. Don't stay up late at night, by yourself. This is suppose to be the time to gather with family and friends. If you are staying up late at night by yourself, then something is wrong. You should be resting.

5. Don't shop on Black Friday. Black Friday is the day right after Thanksgiving, the biggest shopping day of the year. Sure, you could get some good sales, but at what cost? It's a chaotic day where people literally run over each other in a frantic shopping zombie type zone... you will not be relaxed in this type of atmosphere.

The 5 Things You Should Do

1. Do Spend time with family and friends. Times like these when everyone is back home, and all gather is the perfect time to catch up with good friends and family members. Remember the important things in life.

2. Do Stay healthy as much as possible. Stay healthy as much as you can. Try not to drink too much, eat too much or sleep to little.

3. Do Be defensive when it comes to your health. Take vitamin C, drink a lot of water, try out "Airborne" to boost your immune system.

4. Do Leave your work at work. Do not think or focus on your work when you are spending time with your family and friends. Leave the work at work. Especially don't try to "catch up" on some work during the holiday weekends.

5. Do Have fun and relax. Holidays should be good times. Make sure you relax, and plan to have a good time. This is what life is all about.
